Film in landscape ................................................................................................... Looking for male and female couple in late 20's / early 30's whom are university educated, but still in first job out of Uni. Are adults, but haven't quite got their act together yet, not fully formed adults. Gary is loveable, a bit scruffy... stubble and a bit shaggy hair. Stills wears a t-shirt under his check shirt with his smart jacket. Future Gary is more polished, clean shaven and altogether better put together. Katie is equally loveable, even a bit creative... with some last vestiges of girlhood, like an Alice band or a flower in her hair. Future Katie is all business, with her make up, hair up and in her CEO power suit. For the auditions/self test PART 1 Keep it fun and improv around it. Sit down like at a table having dinner. improv reading the menu at their first date. Gary is nervous about the prices, but doesn't want to dampen his date's enthusiasm. Kate is excited about being in a restaurant that even serves lobster, let alone hors d'oeuvres, whatever they may be. PART 2 Still at a fable but now it's the future GARY and KATIE. Then I think the talent could do Future Gary/Katie, where they've sat down opposite their younger selves and are given them a bit of friendly advice. Not arrogant or smarmy, more like an older brother or sister who is telling their country sibling how the world works in the big city. Most of all have fun with it! ............................................... Waiter - FEMALE OR MALE Please dress in a white shirt if possible Some notes: They may not have any lines, but the waiter’s anonymous physical presence is another opportunity for subtle comedy that underscores the story. They place down a bread basket but Future Gary moves it away – again underlining his confidence and control – and pays off another great time travel gag: what would your future self thank you for the most? How many of you said “laying off the carbs”?
