This TV series is shooting in NSW but we are happy to cast this little girl Australia wide.
If you would like to be considered for this role you need to submit an audition doing the 2 audition scenes below, You will be reading the role of YOUNG GIRL/ALISON. The lines are highlighted.
FILMING your audition: You can film it on your phone or any other camera you have available to you.
SHOOTING: Head and shoulders is best for us to see you in an Audition which is called a ‘Medium’ shot.
Do not look into the camera.
Your eyeline should be looking in the cameras direction, but not directly into the camera lens.
LIGHTING AND SOUND: Seeing your face clearly is the most important thing. Record a test clip and see how it looks and sounds before taping the scene. We also need to hear you, so make sure that the person auditioning is the clearest person being heard.
READER: Have someone read the lines of the other character(s) off camera. They should stand next to the camera. Your reader should not appear with you on camera.
ACCENT– Please use your natural voice.
ACTING STYLE We want to see what you bring to the character, so just be you! Talk in your normal voice, just like you would in a normal, everyday conversation with a friend.
You don’t need to “act”, do big gestures or project your voice – this isn’t theatre.
SLATE/ ID - After you have recorded the scene– please also record a slate; which is you saying : YOUR NAME, YOUR AGE, WHERE YOU LIVE AND YOUR EXPERIENCE.

Alice is a curious and imaginative girl who devours stories and is hungry for life and adventure.
Australian accent.
This is a lead role in the first 3 episodes of the series.
We are looking for a girl aged between 8- very young 12, who can play 9 years old. No experience necessary but must love acting and be a naturally curious and bright kid who is capable of playing a lead role.
We are happy to consider actors Australia wide and New Zealand.
The series shoots in NSW, Australia.

In the first scene we want to see the Little Girl and her mum have fun and be light and playful.
In the second scene - when the mum is reading the story, the little girl needs to look up at her Mum while she is reading, the little girl is watching and is captivated by the story telling.
Please shoot in head and shoulders shot in your natural voice.
Act in a naturalistic delivery, we are looking for a realistic delivery, like you are talking to your own mum, friends.
