Lucy Dunning

Lucy Xingwang Dunning (she/her) is a Chinese-Australian, interdisciplinary performer and writer. A graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Lucy’s unique experiences as an adoptee and inquisitive nature position her as a natural-born storyteller. Her recent theatre credits include ‘Jess’ in Stocktake at Belvoir St Theatre as part of its 25A program, and multiple roles in Slanted Theatre’s 2026 Lunar New Year collection of new works, Horsing Around, in collaboration with the National Theatre of Parramatta. From 2024–25, Lucy performed across Australia, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates with Poetry in Action’s International Tour. She also appeared as ‘Lucy’ in The Dragonfly as part of The Old Fitz Theatre’s New Works Festival. Her screen credits include Home and Away, ‘Tali’ in Squata Locks, ‘Audra’ in Untethered and ‘Clara’ in For Peanuts, alongside hero roles in various Triple J music videos. During her studies at NIDA, Lucy played ‘Kurogo’ in Singaporean director Ong Keng Sen’s Sandaime Richard.
