Kate Elder is a Perth, Western Australia-based screen and stage actress, originally from the UK. Her naturally curious nature and commitment to delivering truthful work has seen her deliver a range of leading and supporting roles. Kate's recent work includes Oscar-nominated Director, Bruce Beresford's recent feature film "The Travellers", as well as the short films "In the Doghouse" and "Farm Block A67" which both premiered at CineFestOz, and short film "Milktooth" that premiered at the WA Revelation Film Festival. Kate will also soon be seen in the indie feature films “For the Love of Gold” due for release in March 2026 and the Incurable Illness of Anxiety and Despair also slated for a 2026 release. For the short film "Resistance", Kate received both a Best Actress nomination and a Best Actress award for her portrayal of a Captain challenged by an alien incursion. Kate also earned the Best Actress award for her role as Lady M in Perth's "Short & Sweet Festival." Kate is a graduate of the Perth Actors Centre Advanced Studio and regularly undertakes scene study and workshops to continually improve her craft. Her home voice over studio set up includes a RODE NT1-A microphone, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Gen 3 interface and Audacity audio software. Kate holds UK and Australian passports.
