Melissa has trained extensively in screen acting at The Australian Film & Television Academy, Brave Studios and in The Perdekamp Emotional Method, with a proven ability to bring layered performances to the screen. She holds both film and TV commercial credits, having received international acclaim for her lead performance as Lydia in the International Award Winning Australian short horror film 'Button Man', as well as being featured as the lead actor for local and international brands in the commercial space. With the addition of her diverse ancestral roots (consisting of: English, Scottish, Irish, Filipino and Spanish ancestry) Melissa has an ethnically ambiguous casting edge allowing her to embrace role versatility. She is proficient in both the Standard American and RP accents and has trained with world-renowned voice and dialect coach Jenny Kent to prepare for period drama roles. Melissa studied Criminology and Behavioural Science at Monash University in Melbourne and conducts voluntary and advocacy work in the domestic and family violence space.
