He graduated from the Arts Academy at Federation University Ballarat with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree in 2024, with some of his graduating credits being Posthumus Leonatus in Shakespeare’s Cymbeline (dir. Kim Durban), and Governor/Azdak in Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle (dir. James Wardlaw). Following graduation, Hamish went on to work on a variety of short films such as Five Stars (dir. Mohammad Azman), Breaking Trends (dir. Shion McDonald) and What We Do In The Cinema (dir. Amelia Geiss), with the latter having its premiere at Playback Media Festival at ACMI. You can soon see Hamish in the upcoming short films, Fractured Mind (dir. Thomas Gottliebsen) and My Friend Maria (dir. Taylor Wilkinson), with some of his other credits including Alcotraz Bar Melbourne and Aunty Donna. Outside of theatre, Hamish can also be heard behind the mic as a co-host on the podcast, A Life on The Stage with Hayden and Hamish, which streams across Spotify and YouTube and focuses on raising interest and awareness to the arts.
