Trudi has a mixed heritage made up of Lithuanian, Estonian, Dutch, French, German and Indonesian and has experience with a Lithuanian and East-European accent. All of her grandparents immigrated post WW2 and she has a strong pull to stories of this time- both the war and the Australian cultural landscape thereafter. Trudi carries both an Australian and Estonian passport. Trudi has written for stage and screen in both comedy and drama genres. She is very comfortable working improvisationally and finds this an exciting way to develop work. Trudi has much affection for animals especially horses, cats and dogs and volunteered for the RDA (Riding Develops Ability). Other skills include millinery and sewing, modelling- both photographic and runway- and manual film photography. In 2021, Trudi won Tabloid Witch Award for Best Comedic Actress for her role as Cherry in My Cherry Pie.
