Theresa Matta is a Sydney-based actress of American Lebanese heritage. Starting in her teenage years, Theresa explored training in screen acting through multiple Screenwise short courses while honing her theatrical performance skills in high school drama. In the past year, Theresa has significantly expanded her skills and experience by starring in short films, like Flesh and Blood, and pursuing consistent training in screen acting and the Meisner technique. She has worked with esteemed teachers including Adam Dunn, Andrea Demetriades and Luke Ford at Sydney Acting Studio. This year (2025), she has sought to deepen her understanding of screen acting, theatre and film production by commencing the Screen and Media Diploma at Sydney Actors School. Shre receives training in theatre, screen acting, improvisation, movement and film production from experienced actors and educators including Garth Holcombe, Pip Edwards, Lyn Pierse, and Tim Dashwood. Theresa's passion for the performing arts extends beyond acting. She avidly hones her skills in visual arts, including sketching, painting and sculpture. Additionally, she enjoys challenging herself in sports like bouldering, skateboarding, netball and cycling.
