Sara is an Actor and Screen Content Creator crafting and telling stories of underrepresented women and has worked across theatre, television, short and feature length film both in Australia and Internationally.
Over Sara’s career she has actively sought out challenging and transformative roles and purposefully crafts intricate stories as a writer and/or director in order to generate discussion and spark a sense of ownership among a community of people who are often overlooked by the mainstream media.
She has worked with STC, Griffin, Malthouse and Belvoir Theatre Companies and toured to London with Belvoir’s The Wild Duck. She was nominated for a Logie Award for playing Liza Minnelli in Network 7s Peter Allen – Not The Boy Next Door. In 2017 she was nominated for a Best Lead Actress AACTA Award for her role in Tori Garrett’s Don’t Tell alongside Rachel Griffiths and Jack Thompson and can be most recently seen in Subtext’s Pictures Dead Lucky on SBS, Daniel Phillips debut feature film, Awoken and Stan Original series The Commons directed by Jeffery Walker.
As a Writer and/or Director Sara’s short films, Split Me, Mutt and Disco Dykes have played at various festivals including Palm Springs, Berlin International, Manhattan Film Festival, St Kilda and Flickerfest and been broadcast nationally by SBS. Sara’s upcoming slate includes feature film project The Fannypacks, a 4x1hr drama series, Another Sky and 6x30min comedy series, Fishbone.
