Sarah Bowers is a queer writer, actor and director, and a 2024 WAAPA Music Theatre graduate. In 2025, she toured her debut cabaret Sarahtonin to Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, directed and produced her kids’ musical Tiny Doctors through the Billilla Artist Residency, and directed The Real Australia, which travelled to Edinburgh Fringe.
In 2026, she will produce and direct the tour of Tiny Doctors to Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, alongside presenting Sarahtonin at MICF. She is also directing the new work ‘DM ME’ with Playon Productions for both Perth and Edinburgh Fringe.
Sarah is passionate about collaboration, new work and theatre that plays with form. She also cares deeply about arts education, completing her Postgraduate Primary Teaching qualification in 2025. She received the Julie Michael’s Award for Musical Cabaret in 2023 and was a Judges’ Pick for Sarahtonin at Melbourne Fringe in 2025.
