Notes

Isla has done drama classes since she was five years old. She loves it. Initially she studied at school with Grace Goulter through Performance Net. But for the last few years, she’s been attending weekly classes with Lauren Jackson, Julian Wilson and Natascha Diaz at Brickworks Drama School, where they learn a number of acting/devising techniques and regularly perform for the local community.  She also does drama at Kowhai Intermediate School. She also loves creating her own improvisations and plays at home, performing for friends and family. She has an excellent ear for accents and picks them up quickly. Her father is Scottish so she gets lots of practice on that one with her extended family. She’s got a strong grasp of story structure and character development and loves watching movies, going to plays and creating her own work with her sister and her friends. Isla's mother, Lucy Wigmore, is an actor, so Isla is familiar with the practicalities of acting. Strong ear for accents including: NZ, Australian, English, Scottish, Standard American. Strong swimmer - squad level Devising/Improvising Loves Art/Drawing/Design/Crafts Choir - singing Music - ukulele Keen reader and book lover Loves cooking and baking
