Rommel Daroya is a Filipino-Australian actor, voice artist and performer based in Melbourne, Australia. Working across television, film, commercial and digital productions, he has built a diverse screen career spanning comedy, drama and character-driven work. Daroya's television credits include the acclaimed Australian comedy series Utopia, Secret Bridesmaids' Business and Deadly Women. He is also known for portraying Dave and Mystery Guy across multiple episodes of the award-winning series Full Disclosure, alongside screen roles in Iron City, The Colour of Dirt, Sugar Rush and Cactus & Mime. In 2020, Daroya appeared among the starring cast of Tones and I's official music video for the international hit "Fly Away", directed by Nick Kozakis and Liam Kelly. His voice work includes portraying the Narrator in the comedy series Little Diva Rising. Daroya's journey as a performer began on stage, where an early role as Tyrone in a high-school production of Fame sparked an interest in acting. After pursuing performance during his college years, he stepped away from acting for more than a decade before returning professionally in 2017 and signing with Gina Stoj Management. Since returning to the industry, Daroya has worked across Australian screen productions while also developing an extensive commercial career, appearing in campaigns for major Australian brands and organisations including Australian Unity, Coles, Officeworks, Specsavers, Priceline, WorkSafe, Shannons Insurance, Home Buyers Centre and STIHL. A lifelong martial artist, Daroya brings an extensive background in martial arts to his work, complementing his acting with an understanding of movement, timing and physical storytelling. His experience also extends to voice-over, presenting and live performance. Away from the screen, Daroya is a husband and father. In 2021, his professional and family worlds came together when he appeared alongside his son, Ezra Reign Ang, in the short film Cactus & Mime. Daroya continues to work across television, film, commercial and voice-over productions and is represented in Australia by Gina Stoj Management.
