Rachel Pengilly is an award-winning Australian actor and storyteller. She trained in Theatre and Performance at the University of New England, completing a Bachelor of Arts. Currently, Rachel is one of the Artistic Directors at Ribix Productions. Working professionally across film and theatre, Rachel was most recently seen onstage as Lizzie in Wolf Lullaby (Echo Theatre) in her professional stage debut, receiving critical acclaim. Her recent film credits include Comments (dir. Danielle Baynes); KAIYA (dir. Alexander Robinson); Bullying is a Crime (Cherry Pie Productions); Abigail: Zombie Hunter (Red Gadget Films); and The Melody (Campbell Media Productions), for which she won Best Supporting Actress (mcp2019). Rachel also lends her voice to multiple commercials. While she works predominantly as an actor, she is also a director, writer, stage manager, audio production engineer, and designer. Her directing and writing credits include Foxes: The Musical (Ribix Productions) and To Stay in Silence (Ribix Productions). Recently, she worked with Shakespeare by the Lakes as Assistant Stage Manager for their productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night. She has also stage managed a variety of productions for Perform Australia. Further theatre production and design credits include Danny The Champion of the World (Honest Puck Theatre) and The Good Doctor (Limbo Theatre). When she's not acting or working in theatre, Rachel is telling and sharing stories in some other format, whether it's through writing, drawing or painting. An avid adventurer, she can also be found on the ice rink, climbing a tree, or on a surfboard. Rachel is a proud MEAA member.
