Orlando Vella is a powerful baritone, actor, dancer, and violinist whose work balances sharp comic timing with dramatic presence. Recent roles include François in &Juliet (Empire Theatre), Performer/Associate Music Director in Any Moment (Bradley McCaw Presents), and Big Sal in the Creative Development of Sugar Sugar (Crossroads Live).
As a 2025 graduate of the Bachelor of Musical Theatre from the Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre (QAEMT), Orlando brings musicianship, physical energy, and theatrical versatility. He’s a uniquely multifaceted performer, equally adeptat commanding the stage with voice, movement, and instrumental flair.
Orlando's QAEMT credits include Don Kerr in A Chorus Line (dir. Alister Smith), Stokes in Carrie (dir. Gavin Mitford), and Ensemble/Callahan u/s in Legally Blonde (dir. Alister Smith), along with featured performances in Edges (dir. Elise Greig) and Cry Baby (dir. Alister Smith).
With a love for screen and as an avid filmmaker, alongside theatre Orlando has continued his training in screen acting while also writing and developing screenplays (watch his space).
