Oriana Morris-Johnson (they/she) is a Naarm/Melbourne-based performer graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting). Born and raised in England and Australia, Oriana grew up training as a classical vocalist before finding a love for acting in a production of ‘Our Town’ (dir. Clare Watson) at Black Swan State Theatre Company. They went on to train as a young artist with WA Youth Theatre Company, Perth Festival, and WA Opera. Recent credits at the VCA include Usher/God in ‘Everybody’ (dir. Isabella Vadiveloo), DI Hyatt/Various in ‘A Very Expensive Poison’ (dir. Katy Maudlin) and Ranyevskaya in ‘The Cherry Orchard’ (dir. Bagryana Popov), as well as numerous short film projects. Other credits include Chapman and onstage swing in ‘The Wilde Kind’ (dir. Sabina Donato) at Theatre Works for Melbourne Fringe, and Mary in ‘Marriage’ (Unspooled Theatre Collective) for Midsumma 2024. Oriana is a playful and dedicated performer and collaborator who is excited to continue furthering her passion for new works, especially works with Queer themes.
