Rupert Bevan is a 2020 graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (BFA Acting). In 2022 he will play ‘Danny’ in Andy Griffith’s ‘Just Macbeth’ for In The Park Productions and his first play, a one-man show, ‘Darling Boy’ will premiere at The Butterfly Club. During his time at the VCA Rupert played Billy Claven in Martin McDonagh’s ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan’ (dir. Georgina Naidu) and worked alongside his graduate acting company with director Sarah Goodes on Mike Bartlett’s ‘Earthquakes in London’. Other roles include the titular role in ‘Uncle Vanya’ (dir. Budi Miller), Abe in ‘Snore’ (dir. John Kachoyan) and Lucio in ‘Measure for Measure’ (dir. Tony Smith). His studies at the VCA allowed Rupert to travel to Indonesia for immersive theatre training in early 2020 and he hopes to study abroad again soon, as well as continue writing.
