Montana Sharp is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter, actor, and session musician known for her versatility across genres and disciplines. As well as being classically trained in piano, she holds a double degree in Arts and Music from Monash University, which included international study opportunities in Italy and at New York University. Since graduating in 2020, Montana’s distinctive lead and backing vocals have featured on numerous singles, EPs, albums, and television soundtracks across a wide range of musical styles. As a solo artist, her original releases have attracted widespread critical acclaim from Rolling Stone Australia, The Brag, ABC Radio, as well as other big names in the Aussie music industry.
A regular presence on Melbourne’s vibrant live music circuit, Montana has performed at renowned venues such as the Brunswick Ballroom, the Wesley Anne, Stay Gold, and The Workers Club. Montana is also a touring lead and backing vocalist with The Echoes of Pink Floyd (AUS) and a member of the klezmer-jazz fusion ensemble The Fifth of Nisan.
In 2023, Montana made a celebrated debut on the Australian musical theatre stage in the role of Lucille for Soundworks' production of Parade, reprising the role for its 2024 Sydney season. Galvanised, she expanded her musical career in 2025 through the role of Jean in See You Sunday's production of American Psycho the Musical, in which she was also assistant musical director.
