Miriam is a multi-award winning actor and writer. As an actor, she trained at The Atlantic Acting School in New York, The École Philippe Gaulier in Paris, Second City in Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Her TV credits include: Fires (ABC), Utopia seasons 3 & 4 (ABC), Why Are You Like This (ABC), Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted To You (Seven Network), Winner & Losers (Seven Network), Shaun Micallef’s New Year’s Rave (Nine Network), Very Small Business (ABC), City Homicide (Seven Network), and Fergus McPhail (Network 10/BBC). Most recently, she played the lead role in the critically-acclaimed Melbourne Theatre Company production A Very Jewish Christmas Carol. As a writer, she wrote and starred in the multi award-winning short film Assets which screened at CinefestOZ, Flickerfest, the Peninsula Film Festival and the Australian Women’s Film Festival, where she won awards including Best Actor, Best Screenplay and One to Watch. The scripts she co created and wrote for the Screen Australia and Vicscreen funded web series Buried were shortlisted for the 2023 Monte Miller Award at the Australian Writer’s Guild. Buried, which she also starred in, went on to win the 2025 AACTA Award for Best Online Comedy or Drama.
