Notes
After completing my performing arts degree at NASDA in 2018 I wanted to take some time to see the world. In 2019 I spent five months in The United States travelling some of the coastal states. Three of those months were spent at a theatre camp in upstate New York. At camp I was part of the theatre department as a props counselor and created and sourced props for 20 different plays and musicals. While I was there I was fortunate enough to work with amazing theatre professionals from around America and also attend guest workshops and concerts by Jason Robert Brown, Andrea Burns, Caesar Samayoa, and the New York Philharmonic.
After returning to New Zealand later that year I applied to work on cruise ships with P&O Australia. Over the 19/20 summer I worked in the kids club then returned, after a small break, as an Entertainment Host. During this role I hosted adult and open age activities and trivia, parties, dance classes, and performed on stage in the main theatre. Unfortunately due to covid my contract was cut short and I wasn't able to finish my training.
