Notes

Vocal Range: F3 to A5 (where Middle C is C4). Belter. Mikaela ‘Mik’ Innes (they/she) is proudly queer, gender and body-diverse actor and performer, represented by Ian Nisbet Talent Management. Mikaela grew up in Boorloo (Perth, Western Australia) and in 2019 relocated to Naarm (Melbourne, Victoria), where they studied a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre) at the Australian Insititute of Music. She also holds a Diploma of Performing Arts and a Certificate IV in Music Industry (Performance). Passionate about theatre for young audiences, some of their favourite credits include hosting the 2022 Vision Australia Carols By Candlelight Kids’ Preshow (TES Live/Channel 9); puppeteering the albatross Dave in ‘Owl and the Albatross’ (Theatre Works) and playing Slacks - an anthropomorphised pair of pants - in 'Unsorted' (Theatre Works, Midsumma Festival, dir: Tara Daniel). Currently, she is working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care to expand her knowledge in this field. During their tertiary education, Mikaela played Logainne in ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’, Macduff in ‘Macbeth’, Wendy Jo in ‘Footloose’, was a vocalist and played keys in two cover bands, and found great purpose in devising her first solo show. Other credit highlights include Danielle in ‘Ace of Hearts’ and Louise in ‘This Means War!’, two new musical readings developed as part of Be New Group’s ‘Be New’ program.
