Notes

Lucy Wigmore is an experienced screen and stage actor/writer/director, who has appeared in numerous productions across New Zealand and Australia. After graduating from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, she spent many years working extensively in theatre, including playing the lead role in a successful touring production of THE WOMEN. Other highlights include developing a solo show, SALON 71, and playing Helena in LOOK BACK IN ANGER, directed by Miranda Harcourt. In 2007, she joined the core cast of long-running New Zealand drama SHORTLAND STREET as Dr. Justine Jones, who she played for three consecutive years.

She also spent a few years living in London, where she interned at Out of Joint Theatre Company (with Max Stafford-Clark) and at Trademark Films (with Cleone Clarke and David Parfitt). Alongside that, she continued performing on stage, including playing Rosalind in AS YOU LIKE IT and began her filmmaking career.

Moving to Sydney, she worked with celebrated director, Sarah Goodes at Belvoir St Theatre, before landing a core cast role in cult Australian series, UNDERBELLY: RAZOR as Detective Lillian Armfield. She also starred in LOVE CHILD as Carol Figgins. Since returning to New Zealand to raise her family, she has had guest roles in WESTSIDE, THE BAD SEED and THE BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES. Most recently, Lucy starred in breakout comedy, GOOD GRIEF and Netflix Films, FALLING INN LOVE & CHOOSE LOVE.

She is also a writer/director/producer who has worked on various projects including: short films (Stationery, Sign Language, Reunited), a music video for Gin Wigmore (Willing To Die), theatre (Salon 71, Cat & Mouse), an award winning road safety commercial that went viral (Embrace Life) alongside other short form content. She is currently developing two feature films and writing for NZ television series, Shortland Street. Further information on her writing/directing work can be found on her website: https://lucywigmore.com And a number of recent self tapes are here: https://lucywigmore.com/acting/
