Notes
Raised amongst nature in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, Kate Jirelle is an actor, writer and creator currently based in Western Sydney.
A member of Sydney Acting Studio since 2022, she has extensive and ongoing training in Meisner Technique, Theatre Technique, Voice Technique and Screen-Acting. Coaches she has trained under include the late Kevin Jackson as well as Adam Dunn, Donald Woodburn, Luke Ford, Grace Naoum and Hunter McMahon.
Kate is passionate about bringing theatre to regional audiences, and using the performing arts to not only entertain, but to also elevate and educate. She has toured across regional NSW, performing lead roles in theatre-in-education productions with Blue Whale Theatre and in interactive theatre shows with Dark Stories Interactive Theatre. She also currently works as a workshop facilitator for 'Transitions Drama' - a program developed by Collective Impact Arts and Western Sydney University. In this work, Kate is able to merge her skills as a performer with her experience as a NESA-Accredited teacher by using drama to help children learning English, develop their confidence and improve their language acquisition and speaking skills.
In addition to this, Kate is a regular member of 'Players In The Pub' where she has performed roles in several staged readings of several classic texts including 'The Admirable Crichton', 'Mary Rose', 'RUR' and 'Sherlock Holmes'.
