I am an actor-musician with a background in health and education, born and raised in Sydney. I decided to pursue acting seriously in 2022 as I felt I could contribute to the industry as an older Asian Australian in the new era of diverse casting. My most meaningful opportunities have come from young Asian film-makers seeking a mother or grandmother. Often, these characters have been born and raised overseas, so I have been able to connect with my ethnic roots by learning about their lives. This has often been in slice of life family dramas but also comedy. I am proud of my films not yet released or in festival runs such as Then the Wind Stops (Beijing International Short Film Festival Prisma 2025), The Year of The Snake (post-production 2025) and Free Money (SXSW Sydney, St Kilda Film Festival, San Diego Comicon, 2025).
