For as long as I can remember, I have loved stories. Growing up in regional New South Wales, Australia, I was a voracious reader from an early age, enthralled by the ability of stories to transport audiences to new worlds, disrupt ways of thinking, and challenge perceptions of self. My desire to create meaningful work led me to study writing and graphic design during school, followed by communication, media, and artificial intelligence at university, before pivoting to formal actor training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2024. Ever the performer, I founded a local hip hop and breakdance crew, using movement as a form of expression, and I continue to work as a professional sports mascot, bringing physical characters and heightened storytelling to life. Despite being an actor, at my core, I consider myself first and foremost a storyteller; a vessel for the truths, triumphs, and tribulations that stories carry. I am driven by work that resonates deeply, asks difficult questions, and leaves a lasting impression, for myself and audiences alike. Together. Josh Crawley
