Notes

Josh was driven to the limelight at a young age and has been passionate about performing ever since childhood. Growing up in Johannesburg (South Africa), Josh had a successful professional acting and singing career involved in many regular stage productions (plays, musicals, pantomimes), tv shows and commercials and even a feature film (‘Pets to the Rescue’, 2002). At Crawford College Sandton, a school which was renowned for its dramatic arts program, he studied Drama to graduation (2007) and matriculated with high distinction. He went on to study a Bachelor of Arts (2012) at Bryant University (Rhode Island, USA), majoring in Communication with a minor in Film Studies. There he learned film theory and film and television production. In his spare time, he helped direct, produce and perform in multiple university productions like a weekly student-wide tv news show, fashion shows, variety shows and DJ shows for the student radio station WJMF Radio. After graduating, he moved to Sydney to be with his family who had relocated there while he was studying. In Sydney, Josh interned with Macquarie Group to gain some work experience which led to a permanent role and a successful corporate career with them until 2021. Even though he had an accomplished career in marketing and wrote, directed and produced many advertising campaigns, he didn’t feel truly satisfied with his career path. He missed performing and decided to commit himself to going back into the creative industry, so he left Macquarie Group and completed a year-long course in music production at liveschool Sydney (2022). In 2025, he completed the year-long Screen Actors Studio at NIDA Open and the year-long showreel screen-acting course with Screenwise Australia. He is keen to reignite his life-long passion and develop his professional acting career in the Australian screen and stage industry. He’s fully committed to a life in the creative arts, because it brings him joy and excites him with each new project.
