Former dance boss & educator…married…4 grandkids…Francophile…Swans supporter. Janine has featured in numerous short and feature films, vertical series, theatre, play readings and commercials. As Janine Winters, she helmed 'Evenings With Janine', which was nominated for Best Comedy and Outstanding Creative Achievement in the 2025 Antenna Awards. Janine was awarded 'Best Actress' at the Cracked Actors' 2023 Summer Readings in the lead role of Nell (aka Natasha Pavlova) in 'Portrait of a Rebel Heart' by Gerard Lewis Fitzgerald, and was a finalist for 'Best Supporting Actress' in 2022 & 'Best Actress' in 2021 in the Cracked Actors' Theatre Summer Readings. In the 1980s Janine juggled careers as both a Primary School Teacher and private studio dance teacher. "I found myself choreographing a new Jazz syllabus, then becoming President of Southern Federation of Dance (SFD), which led to work as a choreographer, dance examiner, producer, MC, adjudicator, teacher-trainer and mentor." She also introduced an original program for preschooler dance. On both international and national stages, and arena shows she's worked as a choreographer and dance consultant. Riverdance (1998), Cavalcade - Reins of Fire (2005), Madiba The Musical (2018 & 2019), and Fast Love - a Tribute to George Michael (2018 & 2019). In 2001 & 2002 Janine lectured in Dance & Drama at Victoria University in the School of Human Movement, Recreation & Performance. Janine reignited her passion for acting after three decades of running successful dance schools. With extensive experience in dance performance, education, and stage production, Janine brings a treasure trove of professional skills to her film & theatrical projects. Janine has a full Driver's Licence, Passport and Working With Children Check and has studied anatomy & CPR.
