Jade Louise Evans is a non-binary actor, writer, and disability advocate based in Sydney, Australia. They were raised in Gundaroo in rural New South Wales.
Jade identifies as disabled and queer and uses she/they pronouns. They advocate for disability representation and access in media through their creative work and public speaking. They spent nearly three years bedridden as a teenager due to surgeries and and resulting surgical complications, and while rural life was often lonely, Jade found solace in online writing communities on Tumblr.
Jade has always seen the value in hard work, and has been employed since they were twelve. Before pursuing acting, they worked across a wide range of industries, including as a cook, a mail sorter, in after school care, art supply stores and in the public service. They also previously volunteered for the Rural Fire Service and as a cub scout leader.
Jade’s strength as an actor is portraying characters who don’t quite fit, socially or morally. With a strong sense of comedic timing and a knack for darker material, they're not afraid to explore the human mind at it's worst.
