BIO Johanna Lyon; cheeky, soul-bearing grub is an actor and cabaret comedian dedicated to laughing with others. After graduating with her Bachelor of Creative Arts degree in acting from USQ, she undertook further study (honours) to devise and develop new work. More recently Jo held the World Premiere of her second full-length solo cabaret, ''Borishiva: Bad to the Bone", at Wynnum Fringe Festival to punter and critical acclaim. This oddball is most interested in discussing and unpacking why humans do what we do concerning love and discrimination. She aims to achieve connection between strangers within her work, for an audience to relate to something that is confessed/proposed and then share their own relevant experiences with others. Jo’s goals for the future include her work in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to work with mentors from the comedy and theatre industry, to produce comedy on film and to continue making people piss themselves.
