AWARDS: QUT Scholarship of Excellence in Performing Arts - QUT BFA ACTING (2022-2024) The Howling Girls (Sydney Chamber Opera 2018/2019): CO-WINNER: Music Theatre Now Competition (2018) WINNER: 'Vocal/Choral Work of the Year'; Art Music Awards (2019) FINALIST: 'Best on Stage'; FBi SMAC Awards (2018) ROOMIES: The Series shoots early 2025 and is the recipient of QUT's Jennifer Blocksidge Award grant (2025). --- Hailing from Sydney/Gadigal Land, Grace Campbell is an artist whose passion for the performing arts was sparked from a young age. Throughout her youth she performed and trained with many notable institutions - including Australian Theatre for Young People, Sydney Chamber Opera and The House that Dan Built – before her acceptance into QUT’s acclaimed acting degree as a recipient of their Scholarship of Excellence. During her final year of study, Grace worked under the direction of Wesley Enoch in the world premiere of ‘Very Fine People’ and played the role of Woman in ‘Tender Napalm’ (2024), directed by Flynn Hall. Outside of acting school, Grace’s work has been received on a national and global platform, which saw her represent Oceania at Tokyo Festival in ‘The Howling Girls’ (Sydney Chamber Opera, dir. Adena Jacobs) which was received by a judging panel led by Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche. Prior to this performance, ‘The Howling Girls’ was also a winner of the international Music Theatre Now Award in 2018. Grace was further seen within Angelica Mesiti’s ‘ASSEMBLY’ which was the 2019 Australian Entry to the esteemed Venice Biennale d’Art. Grace is excited by new and engaging works across both screen and stage, and has a keen interest in the elevation of female works and stories. This has seen her perform in and co-create the dynamic immersive works ‘Tender Young Creatures’ and ‘Salt’ (The House that Dan Built), which have been received across multiple seasons at venues including Bondi Festival and Carriageworks. Grace is excited to enter this industry as a graduate and embrace all opportunities it presents.
