EMILY LANGRIDGE - BIOGRAPHY Emily Langridge is an Australian actress and singer represented by Ian White Management. Originally from Brisbane, Queensland, Emily has worked both nationally around Australia and internationally, touring throughout Asia and Dubai, and living and working in London through 2017 and 2018. She is currently based in Brisbane, and available to work nationally and internationally. in 2020, she was a Principal Artist in the theatrical stage production of Amazing Grace, New York New York for Manilla Street Productions, at the National Theatre in Melbourne. Prior to this in 2019, Emily featured on national television as one of the faces of the Coles Christmas Campaign. During 2018, Emily played Cosette for Les Miserables in Concert (a role which she had played for several years prior, in the Australian and International tours of Cameron Mackintosh's new production) in the UK alongside Ramin Karimloo, Jeremy Secomb, Emma Hatton and other renowned performers, produced by Paul Morrissey in association with Cameron Mackintosh. Straight after finishing Les Mis in Concert, Emily filmed a guest role playing Ava the Hotel Clerk, in Creeped Out Season 2 Episode 4 "The Many Place", for CBBC (UK) /DHX Media (Canada. In 2017, Emily was featured on the British stage, national tv and radio in the BBC Proms production of Oklahoma! Which played to sold out houses at the Royal Albert Hall, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh. Prior to moving to London, Emily spent 2016 touring the world, once again playing Cosette in Les Miserables, in Manila, Singapore, and Dubai (as the first musical to be performed at the Dubai Opera House). During her time with Les Miserables, Emily performed in several charity concerts, including Beyond Miserables, with all proceeds going to Beyond Blue. She also performed on national television at the 2014 Helpmann Awards, Carols by Candlelight, and several tv spots including a performance on the Today Show, performing 'One Day More'. From 2014-2016 Emily played the role of Cosette in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Les Miserables which spent 2 years touring to sold out theatres in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. Emily has been involved in several concerts and original productions by Australian composers, including playing the role of Chora in Matthew Robinson’s Atlantis: in Concert. Very shortly after graduating from WAAPA, in 2013 Emily was cast in Gypsy with the Production Company, then Pirates of Penzance, also with the Production Company. While studying at WAAPA, where she graduated from in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music Theatre, Emily played the principal role of Kira in Xanadu, as well as featuring in Into the Woods, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Violet and Crazy For You. Emily began formal training at the Australian Dance Performance Institute (ADPI) in Brisbane, where she received an Advanced Diploma of Arts (Music Theatre) and was then accepted to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
