Emily Carr is an actor, writer and comedian based in Melbourne. A graduate of QUT Drama, Emily has also trained with esteemed institutions such as NIDA and The Groundlings, along with some of Australia’s leading clowning, improvisation, puppetry, and voiceover coaches (ATYP, Dead Puppet Society, Lilli Pang, Hayden Spencer, Deanna Fleysher). Her two solo show’s Beige Bitch (2022 MICF, Melbourne Fringe Festival) and Beauty Queen (2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival) captivated audiences and earned great critical acclaim from Melbourne theatre reviewers. She is actively involved in the creative development of new works and aims to craft thought-provoking theatre that critically examines Western culture, skilfully blending dark satire and comedy to provoke reflection.
