Eloise Rothfield is a Brisbane-based actress, best known for her role as Shelly Huffman in the award-winning Netflix miniseries Boy Swallows Universe, based on the award-winning book by Trent Dalton. When researching for the role, she could find little screen representation of young people living with neuromuscular conditions, so now helps support the community as a charity ambassador for Muscular Dystrophy Queensland.
First stepping on stage at the age of seven, Eloise performed comedic poetry at an eisteddfod and many performances have followed in drama, musical theatre, comedy improvisation, choirs and rock bands. She started screen acting training at the age of ten, alongside classes and workshops in speech & performance, drama, singing, jazz dance and musical theatre. A graduate from Music Industry College with a Diploma of Music, her senior studies focused on her core passions in the creative and performing arts - singing, script and song writing, painting, photography, film making, TV, drama and improvisation.
Her first voiceover role was in Bluey as Muffin aged 12 in Camping (S01E43). More recently, Eloise played Gabby Birch in the new Netflix miniseries The Survivors and Mary in How to Make Gravy, her first movie role. She recently wrapped on a third miniseries with details yet to be released.
