Ebony Portelli

Ebony Portelli (she/her) is a passionate performer and graduate of the Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Queensland Academy of Excellence (QAEMT). Prior to studying at the Academy, Ebony was mentored by Australian composer Mathew Frank, theatre performer Kath Tonkin and choreographer Freya List, at the Melbourne-based Showfit. Returning to Melbourne following her studies, Ebony joined the company of Hive City Legacy - Naarm Chapter (Hot Brown Honey) which recevied a Greenroom Award Nomination for Best Ensemble in a Cabaret following their season at Arts Centre Melbourne. Ebony's QAEMT Credits include: Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown (dir. Penny Farrow) and Paulette Alt in Legally Blonde (dir. Alister Smith) along with fsupporitng roles in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (dir. Jason Klarwein), Three Penny Opera (dir. Penny Farrow), Cry-Baby (dr. Alister Smith) & 42nd Street (dir. Alister Smith). Ebony regularly gigs at functions and events in venues around Melbourne and is enthusiastic to let this business thrive. In her spare time Ebony loves to bake gluten free treats!
