Bio
Dinka Dzubur is an award-winning actress, model and filmmaker. She grew up on the sunny shores of Australia's Gold Coast and is of Croatian descent.
Dinka completed the prestigious conservatory-based three-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) degree at the Queensland University of Technology.
Dinka’s Tv Credits include: “Secrets and Lies” for Network Ten (Australia), “True Blood” for HBO (USA), “Lara’s Choice” for MediaPro Entertainment (Croatia). Film Credits include: “Elimination Game” for Ultra Films opposite Dominic Purcell and “Battle of the Sexes” for Fox Searchlight Pictures opposite Emma Stone.
Dinka has done commercials and campaigns for prestigious brands such as Lancôme with Julia Roberts.
She performed in classic and modern theatre productions including as Yelena Popov in Chekhov’s “The Bear”, Titania in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, Emelie in Brecht’s “Baal”, Claxton’s wife in Churchill’s “Light Shining in Buckinghamshire”, Gina in “Who’s Afraid of the Working Class?”, principal vocalist and dancer in the musical “The Blues Brothers” performed at the Sydney Theatre Company, Powerhouse, The Loft and Gardens Theatre.
Dinka also holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland and has worked as a print-journalist for News Corp Australia and as a film and advertising producer. She is the founder of Chandelier Films. Dinka’s production debut was “Little Hands” short-film which she also co-wrote and starred in. Little Hands screened to Industry at the Cannes Film Festival SFC and premiered at the Oscar®-qualifying film festivals: Flickerfest (Australia) and Pula Film Festival (Croatia). For her portrayal of Mia, Dinka won the International Award for "Best Actress in a Leading role" from the Sanctuary Cove International Film Festival. She is currently in pre-production of her feature film debut as actress/producer/screenwriter.
Dinka speaks fluent German and Croatian and has an ear for dialects: Russian, French, Italian and Slovak. She is currently based in Los Angeles and the Sunshine Coast
