Watts is an internationally recognised expert on Neurodiversity as a published academic on Critical Disability Studies. They won the Lawrie Bartak Prize for best research poster at the 2022 Australasian Society for Autism Researchers (ASfAR) Conference and are currently the only Autistic teacher with the NSW Department of Education to offer Neurodivergence professional development. She is a fantasy author, with the first two books of The Ventura Series published in 2020/2021. She also designed and wrote a picture book series "The Neurodivergents" under the pseudonym I.M.Orkwerd. Watts has been singing since high school, has had the opportunity to be involved with productions such as “Paper Dolls” and “Fall Guy”, and has a growing presence on the stand up comedy scene, having secured a place in the state finals of Melbourne International Comedy Festival's RAW Comedy Competition in 2024.
