Beth Gyzen is an Australian–Dutch actor based in Melbourne, originally from Adelaide. Drawn to “playing pretend” from an early age, she discovered acting as a child and quickly became determined to pursue it seriously. She grew up travelling long distances for acting training before moving to Melbourne in 2019 to study Media and Communications at RMIT University while deepening her acting practice. A neurodivergent actor with a strong curiosity about human behaviour, Beth is deeply interested in what drives people. A self-described empath, she’s drawn to their motivations, inner worlds, and emotional truth. Before pursuing acting professionally, Beth was a competitive swimmer, representing at national level and competing at state level. The focus, resilience, and mental discipline required in elite sport continue to inform her work as an actor. ------------------------------- SKILLS: Competitive swimming (ages 9–16), state and national level competition.
