My name is Bella Crawford and I’m a queer and neurodivergent Melbourne-based actor who graduated from Fed Uni’s Arts Academy in 2023. I'm originally from Greenvale, which is a little suburb in the north-west of Melbourne (don’t feel bad for not knowing where that is, no one does). I spent a good quarter of my childhood in Deniliquin in NSW so I feel like I’m a bit of a country kid at heart.Since graduating, I have moved back to Melbourne and been cast in a leading role in a Swinburne University short film, as well as a supporting role in an independent feature film which is currently in post-production. I have also performed in 10+ productions across the Melbourne and Geelong independent theatre scenes in that time. Praise Dionysus have described me as "always excellent" and "a chaotic character presence [they] really enjoyed." I’m often cast in roles that are earnest and intelligent. For example, think of the bright and honest Debbie from Puberty Blues (Ashleigh Cummings), mixed with the charming, logical and cheeky Amerie from Heartbreak High (Ayesha Madon). On a darker note, if you blend in the sharp and observant Jo from Bad Behaviour (Jana McKinnon), you get a pretty good idea of the types of characters I play.
