Notes

Sultry and sophisticated at a glance, Amy Rose Hancock will quickly disarm you with her wry humour and sharp intellect. She is best known for her recent role as Kellie, the organised, breadwinning sister, in the emotive short film The Love We Lost (2023). Amy produced The Love We Lost and it went on to win Best Director and Best Score at the 2023 Fleurieu Film Festival. She also plays the steely and ambitious boss-lady, Diane, in the comedic short film Sleepwalker (2022). Amy directed the award winning comedic short film Like A Bird (2022), a story about an aspiring influencer who obsesses over his fundraiser for the Ibis, and finds out who his true followers are. Like A Bird was selected as part of the Starburst Film Festival and Filmmaking Symposium 2023. Amy’s ability to play driven, intelligent types with such ease is likely the by-product of art imitating life. After achieving an Honours Degree in Pharmaceutical & Chemical Engineering, Amy worked in corporate as a Chemical Engineer, Analyst, and IT professional. After leaving that world behind her to launch her own award-winning health food company and pursue her acting career. Amy brings complexity to characters through her endearing contradictions. This keen-witted, Type-A, high-achiever is also an artistic soul who embodies femininity, beauty, and sensuality, seen not only through her acting but in her successes as a professional model, competitive dancer, and photographer. Which has taken her to London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong. Amy continues to refine her acting prowess with regular training and has worked with globally renowned coaches such as Greg Apps, Shane Connor and Barbara Hastings. She is currently based in Adelaide, Australia.
