Alexandra O’Brien (Ally) – Actor Bio Alexandra (Ally) O’Brien is an Australian-New Zealand actor based in Sydney. Recently, she played Olive in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and featured in a national Commonwealth Bank commercial. In 2024, Ally won Best Actress at SF3 for her role in The Goat. Her other stage work includes the award-winning Match of the Century (NZ and US tour) and the lead role in The Department of Family Values. Ally’s voice work spans scratch tracks for Animal Logic, Flying Bark Productions, and Netflix Animation, along with commercials for brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Transport NSW. She trained at The Actors Conservatory, earning an Advanced Diploma in Stage and Screen Acting, and further honed her craft under Michelle Danner in LA and Sandra Lee Patterson in Sydney. With a strong background in improv, Ally continues to perform and develop her skills, working with companies like Chicken and Chips Casting.
