Alana Mandanici is a 17 year old aspiring Musical Theatre performer. Alana has loved singing ever since she was as young as four years old. She started off singing for fun but began to take it seriously in 2021 when she started singing lessons with Jane Murone at St Monica's College, Epping. Since then, her vocal studies have flourished, achieving multiple singing styles such as Musical Theatre, Opera, Contemporary, Classical, Jazz and Pop. At school, she has landed two leading roles in her college production. In 2025, she received the role of Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia. The production was a success, selling out all shows for the first time in St Monica's College history. Currently, Alana is in rehearsals for High School Musical: On Stage! Where she is playing supporting role Sharpay Evans. These two roles show Alana's complexities and multiple talents as a performer, being able to switch from playing a kind hearted character, to a bully. Alana now engages in singing lessons with Belinda Parsons who teaches her how to hold a harmony in an ensemble but also thrive in solo singing. Alana has been selected 3 years in a row to compete in the Principals cup for song at St Monica's College, which is a vocal competition where 11 students perform for an audience and an adjudicator. Alana also takes part in multiple classes at Showfit studios including Drama, Musical Theatre and Broadway Jazz. Alana is constantly refining her art during, and outside of class in the hopes to become a successful Musical Theatre performer .
