Teresa Tate Britten is a Singer-Actor and Voiceover Artist, originally from the Northern Territory. She studied Music, Education and ARTS (Theatre), completing her studies at UNSW & NIDA, training in Musical Theatre and Screen Acting under the tutelage of Nicholas Brown, Simon Masterton, Emma Hawthorne, Mitchel Butel and Emma Jackson. Teresa was invited to play a lead role in the sold out world premier of Jatinga, under the direction of Suzanne Millar for Bakehouse Theatre Company. She has guest appeared in short films Girl and Body directed by Charlotte Mars (Gayby Baby), The Pool, directed by Erica Long and as Mrs Aquino in the ABC children's television program, The Unlisted. Teresa starred alongside Hugh Jackman in QANTAS’ Celebrating Australian Diversity campaign in 2019. Teresa attributes her multicultural upbringing as having influenced much of the versatility in her work. She was raised in a remote community out of Alice Springs, NT to Asian-New Zealander parents and identifies with a number of cultural multitudes of this rural area. Teresa trained with TV ProGlobal where she extended her hosting achievements for corporate brands such as Aussie Home Loans and The Australian Government in training modules for online medias and delivers consistent clarity, intelligence and diversity as a sought after multilingual Voiceover Artist, working consistently and nationally in Australia for brands such as Aldi, Nova FM, Dettol, Jurlique, to name a mere few, in both TVC and radio. She loves working with a variety of Australian and US accents, though in particular, she loves acting in the Filipino accent. Teresa worked on the Musical Theatre based show’s, Soul Cabaret with Madison Mckoy (Miss Saigon), Katrina Retallic (Come From Away) and Damon Grebert-Wade at The Camelot Lounge in Sydney and The Things I Could Never Tell Steven (Broadway, West End) written by Australian composer and lyricist Jye Bryant. She performed a lead role in the World Premiere of Kasama Kita with Kenneth Moraleda and Monica Sayers, written by Jordan Shea and directed by Erin Taylor and Mark Paguio at Belvoir Street's 25a theatre and understudied two lead roles in Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Dear Evan Hansen, and has featured in the hilariously iconic CHOOSI commercial series, amongst many others.
