Emma Cushing is an actor, writer, producer, and director working across the stage and screen. She trained at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied Drama, a program consistently regarded as one of the best drama schools in the world. While in New York, Emma loved her experiences performing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, playing Oberon/Hippolyta, and in The Lee Strasberg Institute’s production of You on the Moors Now, playing the literary heroine, Jane Eyre. She also worked for the Tony Award-winning team at P3 Productions in NYC, producing theatre on Broadway and beyond. Emma recently premiered and performed in her new one-woman show My Name is Moo at the Q Theatre in Auckland. Following the success of the sold-out run, the show is set to play in other venues around the country. Emma is passionate about creating emotionally rich, character-driven work, with a particular focus on stories that amplify female voices.
