Notes

Alex grew up in Perth, where he spent over a decade of his childhood skateboarding – a lifestyle that taught him resilience, creativity, and how to get up (quickly) after falling down. He originally set his sights on a career in construction management, but while interning in the industry, he found himself spending more time filming skits than reviewing blueprints and it quickly became clear where his real passion lay. Keen to explore that creative pull, Alex joined an improv class, and soon after, unexpectedly fell headfirst into Shakespeare. His first encounters sparked a deeper love for acting, leading to outdoor theatre performances in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth. Since being accepted into NIDA’s Stage and Screen Performance program, he has dipped his toes into a range of productions, including university short films, TVC work, and his NIDA showcase performance, directed by Carissa Licciardello. Now, he is oddly excited about embracing the relentless cycle of auditioning, facing rejection, and doing it all over again the next day.
