Angus Balcombe is a young Brisbane based actor who has been featured in a broad range of Australian theatre and film productions across his 7 years in the acting industry. His experience includes many lead roles in productions seen at the Brisbane Powerhouse ("Theatre is Dead... and Shakespeare Killed It", "3.14" and "Could Have, Would Have, Should Have"), SunPac ("The Addams Family"), Brisbane Arts Theatre ("The Jungle Book", "Sleeping Beauty"), Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art (I Don't Really Know My Neighbours) and has also been seen touring the One Act play circuit of South East Queensland in "Fuel Light". His film experience includes both leading roles in student short films "Hurt Me, Voodoo Boy" and "The Bucket" as well as extras work in Paramount Pictures productions "Dora the Explorer". Additionally, his work has been recognised by the Queensland Government as his self directed excerpts from plays "Fly-In, Fly-Out" and "Hoods" are currently in use as the VHA level performance standard for the Queensland Drama Curriculum. He has also been featured as a creative in the capacity of composer and director in the Brisbane City Council's youth week project, "Harmony". He's currently based in Brisbane completing a BFA at the Queensland University of Technology.
