Notes

Canberra born, Sophie is a Sydney-based actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer. She holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre from the National Institute of Dramatic Art and a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Stage and Screen) from Actors Centre Australia. Her recent theatre credits include Madama Butterfly (Opera Australia), Bell Players (Bell Shakespeare), Tinkerbell and the Dream Fairies (ASC), Fighting, Ink (New Theatre), and productions of Three Sisters, Twelfth Night, The Libertine, The Boys, and The Laramie Project (ACA). In musical theatre, Sophie has appeared in Starstruck (NIDA), Les Misérables, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and 42nd Street with Free-Rain Theatre Company. Her performance as Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street earned her both a CAT Award and a Canberra Critics Circle Award. As a choreographer, Sophie has worked with MUSE on productions of Dogfight, Urinetown, and Guys and Dolls, as well as SMS’s production of Cinderella. On screen, she has starred in short films for Take48 and the Stinkwater Film Festival-both of which were finalists-and has appeared in commercial campaigns for KFC and Kippis. Sophie is a proud member of MEAA. She has a special love for Shakespeare, voice work, cottage cheese, and rollercoasters - ideally not all at once.
