Maurea Perez-Varea is a dynamic Pacific Islander performer whose talents span acting, dance, and voice work. She brings a unique energy and authenticity to every role she undertakes. A graduate of Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting, Maurea has honed her craft across theatre, contemporary dance, film, and voiceover projects. Her theatre credits include powerful performances in productions such as Sā Tauileva 'O Le Pepelo, O le Gaoi ma le Pala'ai' and Songs of Protest, while her dance work has seen her perform at events like WOMAD23 as a Pasifika contemporary dancer. She has also contributed her voice to projects including Samoa’s Bat Girl Podcast and music recordings, showcasing her versatility across mediums. Known for her creativity, dedication, and compelling stage presence, Maurea is passionate about telling stories that resonate, inspire, and celebrate diverse perspectives. She is a proud member of Actors Equity NZ and M.E.A.A., represented by McLeod Management.
