Cameron Leonard – Actor (QLD-Based, 2025)
Cameron Leonard is an African American actor based in Queensland, Australia. He has worked internationally across television and film, including recurring appearances as Carlos in NBC and Foxtel’s Young Rock (Seasons 1 & 2), executive produced by Dwayne Johnson. He also played Ben in Love and Penguins (2022), directed by Steve Jaggi.
Cameron was handpicked by Academy Award winner Russell Crowe and director Adam Cooper for the role of Leonard in Sleeping Dogs (2024), and most recently appeared as Gary in the feature film Bear Country, also starring Russell Crowe.
He holds a degree in Acting Performance from KD Conservatory in Dallas, Texas, and has trained with acclaimed actor Anthony Mackie in his Master Acting Classes. He currently studies under Fiona Perry at Perry Studios (QLD).
His dialect work includes training with renowned coach Andrew Jack, and he has also worked alongside SXSW award-winning writer/director Augustine Frizzell.
