Josie is a Sydney-based singer, actor and dancer with a passion for musical theatre and storytelling forms. From a young age she worked with music producer Nick Howard on the Copycatz Project at Universal Music and continued to create children’s pop music independently with Nick Howard, and later, Nathan Eshman. She has over two decades of training in classical ballet, theatre jazz, singing and acting and completed the McDonald College’s six-year Musical Theatre course in 2016 and has held a Bachelor of Music: Music Theatre from the Australian Institute of Music since 2020. Between 2019 and 2022 Josie workshopped and performed the titular role of ‘Alice’ in Andy Freeborn’s original musical based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Josie continues her training, having just completed Queenie van de Zant and Margi De Ferranti’s Australian Music Theatre Academy in July of 2024, and studies with Penny Martin (dance) and Beth Daly (acting and voice). Josie is a proud biracial woman of Caribbean and European descent and identifies on the asexual spectrum.
