Jess Ciancio is an Australian actor and comedian. The daughter of Italian migrants, she grew up split between two cultures, from which she draws much of her comedic inspiration. Her recent work includes her role as Sigrid, in the Screen Australia comedy "The Followers" and her role as Erin in the Indie Dark Comedy feature "The Organist".
In 2021 she received a 'Best female Performer' nomination at the London International Web and Shorts Festival for her comedy web series "Hot Skinny Latte", which she wrote and produced. Her theatre accolades include the lead role of Frankie in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows "2 Animals (That don't traditionally get along)" and the role of Evija in Dickens St - The Other collaboration of Theatreworks x Fonds Initium.
Jess trained as an actor at Film and Television Studio International while performing stand-up comedy at open mics around Melbourne. She went on to study Bill Espers Meisner under the expertise of Jennifer Monaco and more recently, Chicago-style Improv comedy. She is fluent in Italian, holds EU and Australian passports and is working towards grading as a Provisional Stunt Actor in 2024.
