Gabriel is an Australian/American actor based in Melbourne. He is similar in type to actors George Mackay, Heath Ledger, Leo Woodall and Liam Hemsworth. His strengths lie in his ability to bring emotional depth, sensitivity and strong physicality to his work. Gabriel has extensive experience in both screen and theatre, and holds a BFA in Acting from the VCA. His film credits include lead roles in short films ‘Heart Throb’ (GGG Films, nominated at Flickerfest), ‘After Party’ (produced by Justine Pitcher), ‘Two Bodies’ (MIFF Play), ‘January’ and ‘Sessions’. Gabriel’s theatre credits include lead roles in ‘Stuck’ (directed by Margot Fenley for Midsumma Festival), Arts Centre Melbourne’s ‘Lord of the Flies’, Prague Shakespeare Company’s ‘Henry VI’, Frenzy Theatre Co.’s ‘MOTHERLOD_^E’ and ‘The Spook’ (directed by Daniela Farinacci). Gabriel’s own short film ‘Quiet’ was nominated at St Kilda Film Festival, and has over 1.1 million views on YouTube. A recent review described Gabriel’s performance in ‘Stuck’: “Cali brings intense focus and understated intensity to the damaged young man who is breaking under the weight of trans-misogyny.” - Theatre Matters. Gabriel has trained under esteemed teachers Budi Miller, Damien Walshe-Howling, Danielle Carter, Leith McPherson, Guy Roberts, Greg Apps, David Coury, Georgina Naidu and Chris Nolan, among others.
